From 01/Jun/2018 to 30/Sep/2019

The 2018/2019 STEM Awards - Supporting Teacher Collaboration

Welcome to the 2018/2019 STEM AWARDS sponsored by The Learning Partnership.

This prestigious award has a category in each STEM subject taught in school for years 4, 5, 7, 8 and 9.

  • Mathematics
  • Science
  • Physics
  • Chemistry
  • Biology
  • Computer Science
  • Design and Technology
  • Art & Design

The awards are granted to teachers based on peer review of teaching content submitted. The entire goal of the competition is to encourage teachers to become publishers of their own outstanding content, so that education collectively can take a huge leap forward towards the adoption of a social learning philosophy.

It is very simple - the more your content is used and liked by colleagues around the UK, the more chance your content has to win in your category.

First prize in each category in each year group delivers your school free access to the STEM competition run for that year group by TLP for 1 year.

  • Year 4/P5 - Fly to the Line Glider Challenge 2019/2020.
  • Year 5/P6 - Fly to the Line Glider Challenge 2019/2020.
  • Year 7/S1 - Race for the Line - Model Rocket Car Competition 2019/2020.
  • Year 8/S2 - Navigate the Line - Lighter than Air Drones 2019/2020.
  • Year 9/S3 - Walk to the Line - Extreme Robotics 2019/2020.

The winner from each category in each subject will have their winning content submitted to a panel of judges from which the overall winning teacher will be selected. The prizes for the winning teacher are:

  • School wide free access to all The Learning Partnerships STEM Student competitions for 5 years.
  • £5,000.00 cash prize for the winning teacher.

This Community will be opened to access and submit entries from the 1st September 2018. Entries will be closed on the 30th June 2019.

The winning entry in each category will be the content that has had the most Likes and Dendrites (the dendrite button allows the users to share the content with their network and publish content into their own collections of content built for their own application in class).

You can register your intent to take part by requesting to join this community and we will be in touch when the competition opens in September.

Good Luck!
