British Science Week runs from the 5th - 14th March and this years theme is "Innovating for the Future." Join us as we showcase the talent of the North East with our week long programme of innovation and inventors! 

Monday 8th March @10am   "Lollipops to logistics" 

Join serial inventor Andy Turner from Andrew Turner inventions as he talks about illuminating lollipops and solutions that save money and also save lives!

Tuesday 9th March @10am "Investing to save the world"

Meet Chris Joly from Green Angel Syndicate, an investment company with a portfolio of 25 companies who have all secured investment to tackle climate change. Chris will be talking about some of these companies and also let you into the secret of what makes a good investment.

Wednesday 10th March 10am  "Can STEM careers save the world?"

Tamma Carel from Imvelo Ltd, an environmental consultancy company will highlight the opportunities that a career in STEM can open up - a lot you may not have thought of!

Wednesday 10th March @1pm "Engineering to WOW!"

Thursday 11th March @10am "MyMo - your personalised running pal"

Ever paid over the odds for a pair of running shoes, only to find that they aren't up for the job? Well Craig from MyMo running certainly has! In this session Craig will talk about how his ill-fitting trainers resulted in an idea for a business which is now helping people around the world struggling with mobility issues.

Thursday 11th March @1pm "from the red carpet to recycling" 

Laura Hepburn, well versed in the world of entertainment, having worked on a number of big titles including Fantastic Beasts, Tolkien and even Game of Thrones, is now more familiar with plastic waste, tyres and even wind turbines as director of Middlesbrough-based waste- to-energy firm Greenology. Hear her fascinating story and why she ditched the red carpet for recycling!

Friday 12th March @1pm "The All in One Company" 

Kate Dawson OBE from the 'All In One company' tells you all about her journey which started with sleepless nights in 2014 and resulting in an OBE in The New Years Honours list!
