Venue: Gateshead College (Sasmi). Opposite the main Nissan building, Washington Road, Sunderland, SR5 3HE.
The Nissan Skills Foundation is hosting the above event to try to and encourage young women to think about Manufacturing and Engineering as a career choice. The girls will spend the morning with us and get to meet a wide range of female staff at the plant.
There are 140 places available in total.
Please note this event is aimed at girls from Years 9-13.
We will have over 20 female staff from different job grades at Nissan, up to and including Director level, who are giving up their time to talk about careers in Manufacturing and Engineering.
Refreshments will be provided.

Presentation will include Nissan history and various entry points (Apprentices, Graduates etc)

“Round Robin” activity where the other Nissan female staff will move around the tables answering questions on their work journey.
Short networking session
Due to the number of schools not turning up at the last few events, or cancelling at very short notice or on the day of the event, please would you only book the places once you have confirmed numbers/transport. This will allow other schools to attend. Places will be limited to max of 20-25 per school
Places will be allocated on a ‘first come first serve basis’.
