This prestigious virtual awards ceremony on the 15th July 2021, celebrates and recognises North East STEM Ambassadors and STEM organisations who, through their interaction, have inspired, engaged and enthused many young people and their teachers in STEM over the past year.
LAST week STEM Ambassador Hub North East delivered five days celebrating British Science Week where over 20,000 young people took part.
We have an amazing variety of STEM ambassadors from companies across the North East, voluntering hours, to help inspire the next generation. STEM Ambassadors are volunteers from a wide range of science, technology, engineering and mathematics related jobs and disciplines across the UK. They offer their time and enthusiasm to help bring STEM subjects to life and demonstrate the value of them in life and careers.
Sharon Grant is the Senior Training Consultant at Caterpillar UK based in Peterlee, and has dedicated much of her time as a STEM Ambassador, to help inspire the next generation.
Based in Newcastle, Perfect Image are an end-to-end IT solutions provider servicing companies from SMEs to large scale multi-national organisations. Rob is also a STEM ambassador and has dedicated much of his time to inspiring the next generation.
The Common Room of the Great North is a charity based in Newcastle which uses the unique industrial heritage of the North East, and it’s building,to inspire the next generation of innovators and engineers. Based in the impressive Grade II* listed Neville Hall building near Central Station, The Common Room celebrates the region’s engineering history through education and engagement.
Cherakee is the Education and Employer Engagement Coordinator at The Edge Foundation and her role is to help bridge the gap between education and employment.
