Code Club and Computing Hub

Teachers, are you looking to upskill and learn more about Coding and Digital Making? Come along to this Teacher workshop and learn more about Code Club UK, The National Centre for Computing Education (NCCE) and Gateshead Councils pledge to schools in the area and beyond. Hear from guest speakers and get hands-on with some digital making activities on 18th December at Cardinal Hume School.

At this session, you will find out more about how you can help get kids coding with Code Club, even if you don’t know a lot about technology. CPD available to teachers via the NCCE as well as support for teachers and schools across the region. This workshop is not to be missed.

Confirmed workshops are;

Anna Pearson - Code Club UK, Introduction to Scratch

James Dixon - Head of Computing and NCCE lead for Cardinal Hume - Showcasing NCCE's online offering to teachers and an introduction to Python.

Vicky Dodds - NCCE Primary Lead

The workshop will run from 4-6 and you can register here. Mince pies will be available and Christmas Jumpers are essential. There may even be a small prize for the most festive attire on the night.
